The Holland Government Scholarship is intended for international students from countries other than the European Economic Area (EEA) who wish to pursue a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the Netherlands.
The Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science, as well as several Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences, are funding this scholarship.
Scholarship Benefits
The scholarship is worth € 5,000. This will be given to you during your first year of studies. Please keep in mind that this isn’t a full-tuition scholarship.
This scholarship includes participation from 41 Dutch universities. You can apply to any of the 41 universities and study there. The Netherlands is an excellent study destination. There are over 2,100 English programs.

Application Criteria
- You are not an EEA national.
- You are applying for a full-time bachelor’s or master’s degree program at one of the participating Dutch universities.
- You meet the specific requirements of your preferred institution. These are available on the institution’s website.
- You do not hold a degree from a Dutch educational institution.
Scholarship Application Deadline
On November 1, 2022, the application period for the academic year 2023-2024 will open. The application deadline is either 1 February 2023 or 1 May 2023. Please confirm the correct deadline by visiting the website of the institution of your choice.
